Ben’s areas of professional practice principally include litigation and dispute resolution, construction litigation, employment litigation, and personal injury. Since his Call to the Bar in 2014 he has represented clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice, as well as a variety of administrative tribunals.
Ben is also proud to provide representation to various Police Associations in southwestern Ontario. His expertise includes representation in Special Investigation (SIU) investigations, Office of the Independent Police Review Director (OIPRD) investigations, disciplinary proceedings under the Police Services Act, appeals before the Ontario Civilian Police Commission (OCPC), and grievance work.
Ben graduated with distinction from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2010. He attended law school at the Queen’s University Faculty of Law where he was recognized for outstanding academic achievement on several occasions. Ben graduated with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2013.
Ben is a proud lifelong resident of Cambridge. Having spent the summers of 2011 and 2012 with our firm as a summer student, Ben returned and completed his articles under the mentorship of Bernard Cummins. Ben was called to the Bar in June 2014 and he remains with the firm as an associate.
Ben lives in Cambridge with his growing family. Ben emphasizes community connectivity and is eager to participate in local undertakings. He is a past member of the Rotary Club of Preston-Hespeler.
Ben is a past member of the Rotary Club of Cambridge (Preston-Hespeler). He is proud to have been involved in the Cambridge Times Rotary Classic committee and the Rotary Oktoberfest committee. Ben emphasizes community connectivity and is eager to participate in local undertakings.
